This lecture will address the use of nutrient timing, optimizing macronutrient intake, ratio manipulation, and scientifically validated dietary supplements. The right ratio and timing of carbohydrates with added protein or protein alone has been shown to enhance athletic performance and support muscle protein synthesis, allowing for greater glycogen replenishment than carbohydrate alone. Nutritional strategies including specific dietary supplements will be covered in this session.
