The AFPA Stability Ball Trainer Certification program was developed to promote safe yet challenging ball exercise to instructors and personal trainers. This program is a hands-on way to learn more about the benefits of using the stability exercise ball. Participants will learn the proper execution, proper progression, teaching techniques and cueing for all the selected exercises. Stability Ball training is a great tool to add to any exercise, conditioning & rehabilitation program.

Minimum Prerequisites for the Stability Ball Trainer Certification:

  • 18 years of age; High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of anatomy and resistance/cardiovascular training.
  • Basic familiarity with resistance training equipment.
  • CPR is not required to take the examination but may be required by employer, or to obtain liability insurance.

Requirements for the Stability Ball Trainer Certification:

  • Complete the online order information, mail in application or phone in your order.
  • Receive and review all your materials.
  • Complete the written certification exam. Written exam includes 50 multiple choice questions.
  • Complete a visual demonstration of a Stability Ball Training program that you would have a client perform. The visual demonstration may be accomplished through photographs, DVD, CD or informal VHS presentation. Detailed instructions will be included with your certification program.
  • 90% is required to pass your certification exam. AFPA holds the highest level of standards.
  • If you do not pass your certification examination you may retake the exam one time at no added cost.
