The original Cardio Kickboxing© Instructor Certification course is now being offered through AFPA. You will learn to successfully teach fitness kickboxing classes in a health club, martial arts school, corporate wellness center, and university physical education department or even in your own home!

This course is designed to prepare participants to teach safe and effective Cardio Kickboxing exercise programs through the development of leadership and technical skills.

Cardio Kickboxing© Instructor Certification Course Learning Objectives:

• Explain and demonstrate basic moves of Cardio Kickbox.
• Identify participant's skill levels and pairing them others at similar skill levels.
• Create specialized workouts using shadow boxing, heavy bag, speed bag, body bag and more.
• Employ the "Five Components of Fitness” with your class participants.
• Apply safety techniques and procedures in class to avoid injury.
• Implement the proper type of kick depending on the classroom situation- ax, roundhouse, out block, up block.
• Demonstrate correct biomechanics of punching-jabs, cross, upper-cut, hook and straight punch.
• Design a Kickbox class to improve cardiovascular conditioning while improving over-all health.
• Implement optimal workouts, including those with no equipment.

Minimum Prerequisites for the Cardio Kickboxing© Instructor Certification:

• 18 years of age
• Functional knowledge of English and arithmetic
• CPR not required to take examination but may be required by employer or to obtain liability insurance.

Requirements for Cardio Kickboxing© Instructor Certification Course :

• Complete the online order information, mail in application or phone in your order.
• Receive and review all your materials.
• Complete the final certification exam. Final exam includes multiple choice questions. 
• You have up to 6 months to complete your Cardio Kickboxing Certification program.  You may submit your exam once completed anytime prior to the 6 months.
• 90% is required to pass your certification exam.

Re-testing:

• You must receive a passing grade of 90% or better to receive certification.
• If you do not meet this minimum requirement you will be mailed/or emailed your results.
• You will be the opportunity to correct your answers within a 90 day time period.
• Students that do not achieve this score are able to retake a final exam within 3 months at no added fee.
• Additional attempts are subject to a $50 administrative fee.
