Success Stories

I am an AFPA Certified Sports Nutritional Consultant and AFPA Nutrition & Wellness Consultant. If it wasn't for these certifications I wouldn't have the knowledge to help me launch my energy bar, 3BAR nationwide.  3BAR is an all natural, organic, vegan, kosher, wheat-free, gluten-free, cholesterol free, and GMO free energy bar.  I am currently selling in over 100 stores nationwide from Colorado to New York and all over the state of Florida. I have been featured in Triathlete Magazine, St. Petersburg Times and now have my own weekly radio show on Sports Radio 1470 am!

Thanks for your consideration!

I LOVED this course! The Nutrition & Wellness Consultant Certification program was very informative, and I learned a lot from it! I am looking forward to helping others with their weight problems. Two years ago I gained 110 pounds during my pregnancy. I had always struggled with my weight in the past. When I got married I started a strict vegetarian diet, worked out 5 days a week, and was successful weighing in at 130 pounds. But when we got pregnant, I just did not work at it any more! After I had my son I weighed 245 pounds, and found it very hard to do the "every day chores" it took to take care of my husband and our new baby! At that point I decided it was time for me to GET HEALTHY; for my family. I got back to my vegetarian diet, and went to the gym 6 days a week. I am happy to say that in only a year, I lost 110 pounds and weigh a HEALTHY 130 pounds!! After going through my weight struggles, it inspired me to want to help others with their problems as well. I just wanted to say THANK YOU! After taking this course I am even more inspired to reach my goal as a Certified Nutrition & Wellness Consultant!

Thank you & God Bless!

The thirteen recruits stood like scattered wooden soldiers, scared and stiff.  At exactly 6 am, I stood in front of them, wearing black and a stern face.  “Welcome to day one of boot camp,” I yelled.  “You will love to hate me, and I will make your life miserable for the next four weeks.  But I will make sure you accomplish your goals.”  The wood soldiers were erect, terrified and tense.

My name is Barbara, 45, fitness instructor. I pushed my recruits beyond their limits for one hour a day, 5 days a week, 4 weeks in a row.  Absenteeism was not an option. I quickly snuffed any attempt at self-promotion with more push-ups. They earned dreaded flutter kicks for every complaint voiced.  They learned to put on happy faces and push forward. The toy soldiers became a unit as they sweated together. By day 4, their bodies were in utter shock. Unable to sit without groaning, they went down the steps on their behinds. I wondered if they were going to survive the four weeks, but I kept on coaching them through pain, sweat, torn muscles, fatigue and discouragement. I cheered them on secretly, sometimes one second at a time, or one single step at a time. I kept my game face on, but couldn't help letting a smile leak out occasionally.

By day 20, each one of my thirteen recruits had at least doubled the number of push-ups they could do with proper form, and each took at least 30 seconds off their half-mile run. They stood tall as we handed them their “Boot Camp Survivor” certificates, elated to have earned such a noble title. I was like the proud mama of gorgeous babies. I let the mask down and cheered loudly.

I received my AFPA Personal Trainer Certification in October of 2005. I am very proud and glad to have accomplished this. I was interviewed by the owner of a gym, I showed her my certification card, and she hired me on the spot. I am still working at The Coria Fitness Club in Brownsville, Texas, and I am happy to be able to help clients that are recovering from injuries. I also train healthy clients. I have also motivated my fiancée into working out. I am happy to say that I am pleased with my training program.

The client that I am very happy to be able to help get in shape is my mother. In January 2006 she suffered a major heart attack, and thanks to the AFPA educational materials I read, and research I have done, I helped her lose 30 pounds and establish a more healthy lifestyle. My mother is now doing well and continues to work out regularly.

I've been working out since I was in high school, but now with the studying I did to acquire my AFPA certification, I am confident that I can train, help, and change someone's life for the better.

Sincerely,

I would like to thank you for the opportunities that have opened to me since receiving my certificate through AFPA. Since I was not able to stop work and attend a certification course, your at-home alternative was the perfect solution for me. I am presently teaching several classes but my favorite is the Fitness Enhancement class at the Naval Support Activity Mid-South in Millington, TN …I feel like I am a part of keeping our military men and women in shape as they defend our country. How cool is that? So, again, I want to extend my thanks for the courses you offer.
